This laptop sleeve is just as described. I own a 17 inch HP pavillion and it easily slides inside this sleeve. Although this sleeve is only neoprene and has no solid construction, it still protects the laptop from scratches and minor bumps. It is also thin enough to still fit into another bag, such as a backpack. I would definitely recommend this product to others.

I tried both this sleeve and the NY Built. This one zips about 1/2 way around and you can easily fit your new laptop in it; without scratching it on the zippers; if you had to squeeze it in the sleeve like the NY Built type.

I love this sleeve. I bought it for my HP 17 inch laptop and it fits beautifully. The zippers are very heavy duty and opens to slip the laptop from the top or side. I bought it along with the messanger bag. Love the color also.

I looked for quite some time for a case for my 17" Dell Inspiron. I read the reviews of different products and the reviews for this seems to fit my needs. I like it because it's light, it's soft and it fits my Dell like a glove. I also bought the coordinated Belkin Mouse Trap Mouse Pad and I recommend it too!

This sleeve is perfect! I looked everywhere for a laptop sleeve that would fit my huge 17" screen but had no luck until trying Amazon.The most common size found was for a 15". This sleeve is constructed in a way that allows my laptop to easily slide in because half of the sleeve unzips. It's also thin enough to slide into the beautiful leather bag that I already owned however still provides enough cushion for protection of my laptop and the color is also fashionable. I didn't want a common black one so this fits my needs completelely and I would recommend this sleeve to anyone.

The sleeve snugly fits my HP Pavilion dv9500t 17-inch notebook. The padding is thin enough to allow easy handling of the notebook and can be slipped into a backpack or other bag without difficulty, while providing some protection against bumps and scratches. The zipper and material seem to be high quality.

This is the only sleeve we found that even had the potential to fit our 17" laptop. Look at the specs and measure your laptop or you will be disappointed if you have a 17". I took a chance and ordered it - and it fits!! My husband wishes it had a pocket for the mouse and other accessories, but at least it fits and provides some protection. I am ordering the companion case with a strap because I know the size will work.

Warning - it is a cat hair magnet!

This product is a great fit for my 17-in. laptop. I've had such a hard time finding a cover for it so when I saw it I had to have it. It's a great price for a great item. It help prevent scratches on the top of my laptop and it comes in fun colors! I love the pink! I highly recommend this product!

I'm a college student who was looking for something cheap to protect my laptop in my backpack on my way to class. Although this project is rather expensive (Im a poor college student) but it was worth the price. This laptop sleeve is great! It came quickly too. I wasn't sure what size laptop I had (It just says widescreen) so I ordered the 17" just to be save this sleeve has plenty of room for my laptop and zips really easily and fits in my backpack too. Great for carrying my laptop back and forth to and from class. I would definitely recommend this product. I <3 the colors too although its more of a grey and pink rather than a white and pink but its still a good product.

I'm very glad that I ordered this item. It was a bit pricey - however, it was impossible to find a notebook sleeve for a 17 inch laptop anywhere else, and I know that Belkin is a quality brand. This protects my new laptop and I have no worries about scratches, etc. My only gripe is the price, but considering how much the laptop cost, $30 is a small price to pay to protect an investment! I'd order Belkin products again and have recommended their notebook sleeves to friends and co-workers.

I just received this as a Christmas present from my fiance and it fits my 17" HP Pavillion just great! Nice, soft interior and padded exterior should afford the protection I want without a lot of extra bulk. Good construction, and as others have pointed out the lining for the zipper seems to do a good job of protecting the finish of the laptop.

I recently bought a new 17" HP laptop and began what seemes would be a never ending quest for a case to put it in. I purchased many other items saying that they would fit my 17", and they definitely did not. This item actually fits, and with a little room to spare. I don't have to stretch and strain to zip up the case. It is perfect to protect my new laptop from scratches and whatever else I may throw in my bag with it. I also bought the matching mouse trap by Belkin, and it's a must have too!

Just picked this up for a Gateway FX 6831. I was a little concerned because of this laptops awkward battery that protrudes from the back of the laptop about three quarters of an inch. The sleeve fits like it was made for this laptop. There is a piece of piping on the inside of the zipper that should prevent the zipper from coming in contact with the laptop (a very tight fit when zipped up). I cant comment on the durability yet as I just received it today.

I purchased the matching mouse trap as well; it doesnt match very well, it is a tad lighter than the laptop sleeve. The trim piece that is about 1" is a very close match to the sleeves color. It was a lot bigger than I had envisioned too. A full sized mouse will swim in it, my Microsoft 5000 bluetooth mouse could bring four of his friends along and still be comfortable. It came with a pouch and I discovered that my PSP fit very nicely in the mouse trap :)

Well constructed. Thick/soft material protects very nicely. Although, my Toshiba Qosmio x305 bearing fits into it. Have to stretch a bit to zipper but I don't mind because I know it secure.

I really love my sleeve. I was feeling let down because of the lack of options for 17" cases and this one fit the bill. It is a bit large for my laptop, but that keeps it from scratching any of the finish with the zipper. The only tiny downside is that the cover inside the matching Belkin bag is a pretty tight fit. I like to think of it as being extra-protective and shock-absorbant.

I bought an HP 17" laptop and was having trouble finding a sleeve that would fit. This was perfect, with room to spare. The colors were nice (I bought the brown and blue), the sleeve is soft so no scratching, and shipping was free from Amazon! I wish it had a handle and I wish the sleeve would open up all the way around the edges so I wouldn't have to take it out each time I use it--for short uses like on the train. Other then that I loved it.

I just recieved this today, so i cant give a long term use review really, but so far i love it! The zippers are real nice and feel like they will hold up for a long time. The fabric is also tucked into the zipper so it wont ever get caught and stick, slides open and close nice and easy. The colores are real nice. a good looking pale brown with a light baby blue, very earth tone. This sleeve seems to have real good padding as well, which is what i like most. i have a 17.3" HP and it fits in the sleeve real good, there is a little extra room in there so thats nice too. Anyone with a big laptop like me, looking for a sleeve i would deffinitly suggest this one!

I saw items similar to this in the stores, but NO ONE carries them for larger 17" laptops. I was pumped to find this one...I didn't realize how difficult it would be to find. I was looking for something stylish but not bulky despite how large my computer is. This is the perfect solution for being able to carry your laptop in a seperate bag if needed while still remaining protected. This sleeve is fantastic. I have no complaints really. It fits my 17" dv9700t HP Pavillion with no problem and there is a lining on the inside to protect the laptop from the zipper. The design is very clean cut and simple, I fell in love, so I also bought the matching bag. I highly recommend, especially to those with laptops that are a bit on the larger side.

This Belkin sleeve is wonderful! My HP 17-inch laptop fits perfectly in it, not too tightly and not too loosely and then slips into my tote for further protection while transporting it to and from work. The zipper appears sturdy and my laptop is protected from scratches by the inside zipper edging. When I go to a meeting, it looks great alone, tucked under my arm and even feels great. The neoprene feels soft yet durable. The colour is as identical to the image shown as is possible. I would recommend this product to anyone.

I have an hp pavilion that is slightly larger than 17 inches and I had difficulty
finding a sleave case for it. This one fits my pc. The case is slightly larger on
the height dimension and a bit stretched on the length dimesion, but overall I'd
say it's pretty OK.
Also, I am very satisfied with the quality of the fabric used to make this case.
Overall, I think it's a good buy.

Lovely sleeve. the colors are nice, the material is soft and light yet provides a sturdy grip when carrying. My only complaint is that it is just a little too big. My 17" Macbook Pro slides around a good deal, but with the extra padding and protective lining to keep the zippers from scratching the laptop inside, it still works very well. The matching bag is a good investment as well, though you will be pressed for room with the laptop and sleeve inside it.

I bought this case, so I can put my laptop into a larger bag without it being scratched or ruined. It is great for that protective purpose, but I would not recommend it for other use because there isn't a handle. It's not easy to carry around in this case; therefore, I only recommend it if you want to put it into a backpack or a larger bag. I also purchased the Belkin Neoprene Mouse Trap Mouse Pad & Bag as well to go with it. I highly recommend purchasing them together for a great set:

My only complaint (and why I took off a star) is because it has a horrible rubber smell to it. I even left it outside to air out for a day and it still smells like rubber. If you are easily affected by smells I would not recommend this product.

a good product i would recommend. like some people mentioned, it does have a strong plastic smell at first, but it goes away. full size 17" notebook (hp dv7t) fits nicely in there, with some room to spare for a paper notebook and some blank cd-r media. (an inner pocket would be perfect for this, and i plan on sewing one in when i get a chance)

it would also be nice to have something to be able to tell which side is the top quickly. the zipper is assymetrical, so this helps, but not readily visible.

i do move around with it a lot, and i can put it on the passenger seat or on the car floor without it slipping around.
it's not the best for carrying as it has no handles... and a 5 minute walk with a 17" in hand can get tiresome quickly. it keeps the lappy clean and somewhat protected, though i would not trust this sleeve to do more than cover your laptop and protect it from scratches.

i plan on getting a pelican case to adequately protect my laptop when going out on gigs, but i assume this sleeve would do nicley for most people that don't need to move it around much, or to complement a laptop backpack or breifcase.

If you have a 17 inch wide screen notebook, you probably want the 15 inch neoprene laptop condom thing. I, instead of measuring my notebook, just thought, "hey I have a 17 inch screen notebook" (hypotenuse only, not width) so I was a little bummed because it is a little to big. But the design is nice, it has plenty of padding, (if you are concerned about that) and that is about it.

Very nice sleeve. The neoprene offers sufficient protection for your notebook. Although it does have a kind of funny smell. I wouldn't recommend getting the 15" for your 17" like someone else did. I don't know maybe it depends on the brand but I have a Toshiba, and the 17" fit my notebook just fine with a tad bit of room to spare. The only thing I can say is don't get this if you use a notebook bag, unless it's really big, because my notebook doesn't fit in my bag with the sleeve on. Other then that I would recommend this sleeve for anyone. Thanks.

Nice case, clearly designed for older laptops which tend to be wider rather than longer (think Dell Inspiron Model). However, my 17.3" HP Pavilion dv7 fits well enough. Would recommend.

The case fit my HP "17 perfect. Great for when I want to toss it in my backbacp and not worry about scratches or damage. The only downside is the toxic smell it has when you first open it. It is mde in China so hopefully I am not getting lead poisoning or some other toxin.

I have a large screen (17 inch) lap top and even this bag is big. If you like a lose fit of about an 1 1/2 then you'll love this bag. Otherwise it is great to just pack up and go down the road for a meeting.

I purchased this item along with the Belkin 17" messenger. Both are high quality construction. I kept the messenger but had to return this sleeve because it was way too big for my 17" MacBook Pro (which im sure its not designed specifically for). I purchased this sleeve for my 17" Macbook Pro, even though some of the reviews have already stated that this sleeve is too large for the Apple line of laptops. I had already ordered a Speck hard case (Speck Macbook Pro 17" See-Thru Hard Case - RED), and the sleeve not only fits my Speck'd out Macbook, it *still* shifts around in the sleeve... Which really isn't a big deal. Other than that, it has a nice, thick lining, and an insider zipper guard to keep the zipper from scratching.

It's just what you'd expect, nothing more, nothing less.

Also, it seems that no matter what color you order, you will receive the black/red - just so you know.

The 17" laptop fits into this sleeve perfectly. Zipper opens wide to prevent scratching the surface while inserting the computer. Wish it had a little more padding to protect the laptop better. This sleeve is really to prevent it from getting scratched, not much protection from impact. Does what it says it does! Sleeves for 17" laptops are not easy to find at local stores. Would recommend this sleeve.

I still put my 17.3" widescreen HP into a Belkin sleeve before it goes into this (adequately-padded) backpack, but you don't have to. This pack is huge, huge, huge! I can carry all kinds of stuff in it in addition to the laptop. I gave it 4 stars because I think it is a little too big- it's almost like a weeklong hike pack! Also, it's on the young side as far as looks, but I had a hard time finding a backpack for this big a laptop, so I will put up with being the 40-year-old woman with the collegiate-looking backpack in order to protect and lug around my investment.

The sleeve is very nice, fits the laptop well, and is a lovely color. However, the smell isn't. We returned it for a second one and it was a bit less smelly. Since my daughter needed it for college, we kept it and sprayed it with perfume.

I liked the sleeve at first--fit my 17" PC quite well. I liked that the bag opened on two different sides to allow me to choose which way I loaded the computer and it provided appropriate padding. I used it every day for a little less than a year in a backpack hauling my computer from home to work to school before the zipper jumped the track and teeth widened so I couldn't fix it, leaving the sleeve useless. Although I was happy with the product, I'm not happy with its limited life and I am buying a new sleeve without breakable parts.

This sleeve is for my Toshiba Qosmio 17 inch laptop. I have a very difficult time closing the zipper entirely due to the tight space it provides. It does accomplishes good patting and scratch resistance when I eventually manage to fit my laptop inside.

The quality of the Belkin Neoprene Notebook Sleeve for 17 inch laptops is nice. I bought it because it has a double zipper that can be opened from either side. However, it is just a bit too small for my 17.3 inch laptop. It can be zipped closed, but it is a very tight fit. If your laptop screen is not over 17 inches, then this sleeve would probably fit perfectly. The Case Logic 17 inch sleeves are much larger, but don't have a double zipper.

15.3 x 10.5 x 1.7 inches ; 3 pounds?

How can a 17" laptop fit in such a thing? And, I doubt very much that it weighs 3 pounds.

The notebook cover will be perfectly functional, and my 17" laptop fits very well in it. There is no room for accoutrements, so cables will have fit elsewhere.

Two HUGE items to beware of: the neoprene STINKS. Right now, my case is sitting out in the sun, hopefully getting the smell bleached out of it. The other thing is that, for some reason, the PO would not leave the item -- I have packages left all the time at my front porch -- so I had to take time from work to pick this up at the PO. For an item worth ~$30., this makes no sense.

I would have bought the item locally if a store in my town had had the 17" case.

This sleeve might be nice if it actually fits your computer! I have a macbook pro 17" and it was WAY too big for it! I might as well have just thrown my laptop into a pillowcase and carried it around that way! But seriously, if you have a macbook I'd suggest the InCase sleeve, that's what i ended up getting. I believe you can get it here on amazon, they also have it at the apple store, or you can get it directly from the InCase website.

The Belkin Notebook Sleeve does NOT properly fit an Apple 17" Pro--it slides around inside. The protection for the zipper is not ample and could scratch the sides of the computer. There should be at least a small accessory pocket for the remote control. It's just two slabs of nothing sewn together and priced double what it's worth.

I'm disappointed that this sleeve is about 1 1/2" too large on 2 sides for my 17" Toshiba Satellite Pro. Bummer - as it is advertised to fit all 17" notebooks. I need a snug fit.

Nice style, but not as protective as the NY Built sleeve. Also much too loose a fit (an inch extra in width). Makes it a bit hard to handle, as the laptop tends to slide around inside. Had the NY Built sleeve for another laptop, regret I didn't go for it a second time.

This sleeve is very nice, as to be expected from Belkin. THe neoprene on the outside is thick. It can take a lot of abuse. The interior is soft fabric that won't scratch your laptop. There is also a ridge along the zipper line, to protect your laptop from the zipper itself. Only thing I wish is that they had different colors, but as far as protecting my laptop, which is what it is supposed to do, it does a great job. I got this cause my backpack didn't have a laptop sleeve built in. I chose the 17" because the 15.4" seem to fit too snuggly, and i've seen a lot rip.

I had received the color that I selected. I chose brown/light blue and received black/red. The product code and description gave no indication as to the color that was chosen, so I had no way to tell if my selection was what was processed in the order.
