Reviews of Tune Belt Open View Armband for iPod nano 3G

1.) Great for the price!

I wanted something to hold my 3G iPod while I exercised. This product was easy to wear on the arm. It has a little velcro flap to hold the headphone cord so it's not in the way when I am running and I can still move the dial in the plastic sleeve. Great for the cost with no big hype. It does what it was meant to do!

The Tune belt is wonderful. Its very useful for me since i purchased it i have not dropped my ipod nano and i have not damaged another pair of head phones in the process. It helps me keep my ipod nano safe. What I like most about the tune belt is that the stitching is good. The material is sturdy and its was well worth my money in my opinion.

This armband was bought for a teenager running indoor track and he is very satisfied. His ipod and it's hard shell case fit in perfectly. He has access to all the controls without removing the ipod from the armband. We read all the reviews, for many styles, before purchasing; this one seems to fit the bill.

Arrived as promised and since this Ipod is extinct, the arm band to fit it is hard to find... Glad to see it was available on Amazon.

very nice case..... does the job.
...the price was right on the money.... i did not want to spend $30 for a case.

That guy that speaks about the velcro coming apart is bogus-- it never has come apart on me!

I was even able to put my 3G Nano in with the protective case i bought for it the minute i had the nano.

7.) No disapointment here.

A very sturdy band. Very satisfied with it.
The only drawback is that the face plastic makes it a little difficult to control the ipod but i would much rather deal with that than have a flimsy thin product that falls apart.
Thank you!!!

8.) Good Solution for IPod and working out

I bought this after much research and based on other reviews i was kind of skeptical but other products didn't have much better reviews. I even checked eBay for the 5 Dollar solutions but I am glad i went with this one. The Arm Band is all Velcro and stays snug during running and workouts. The only reason i gave it a 4 instead of 5 is the Plastic Cover is not as sensitive toward the volume etc as i would have hoped but I understand it secures the IPod better.

Just received this a couple days ago , and so far I like it. Like others have said, the only downfall is trying to adjust the volume or song while running or working out....it does not work too well thru the plastic. I have a case over my ipod, and it fits nicely. I belive it is a good deal though for the money. Am pleased so far. The velcro works great! Stays in place.

10.) So far so good

I've been using this armband for about 3 weeks now and haven't had a problem with it. It is a bit small if you have larger biceps but it still fits me and stays very secure. The ipod sleeve itself is roomy enough to fit your ipod even if it has a cover on it but still snug enough to keep it from moving around. I have a decal skin on my ipod and do not have any problems adjusting the volume or pushing the buttons on my ipod even through the plastic. I do question how long the Velcro will last but Velcro only has so long of a life span on it. For the price of the armband it was a good buy and the side flap to help with cable management does keep the headphone cables from getting in my way. I do wish the armband was a bit longer but that is my only gripe.

11.) Love it

I bought this arm band over a month ago and I love it. It has the velcro on the side that holds the extra headphone cord that would usually just dangle when I'm working out. I sweat a lot when I work out and it protects the ipod very well...I've had my ipod in an iFrogz protective case since I bought it and it fits in the armband with the case on. If you have a bigger arm, the band will not fit you. It's pretty small but it fits me. The plastic over the front of the ipod makes it hard to turn the volume up and down but I care more about the protection of the actual ipod from sweat and this band does the trick!

12.) great product

I was so pleased to find an arm band for my ipod nano that fits without being too big or little or sliding at all. I run every other day and sweat a lot and the band doesn't move and the plastic covering doesn't bother the volume adjuster, I only have to apply a bit more pressure is all. It's a great product, sturdy, and I highly recommend this one.

13.) Not bad...

It takes a while to get used to wearing it on your arm. So the product itself is great it's more just getting used to a different way of wearing your ipod.

14.) Not bad, but definite room for improvement

This is very comfortable to wear and the ipod nano fits in there nicely.
The only drawback is that one piece of velcro is nice and long to accomodate different size arms, but the other piece of velcro to secure the band onto it is way too small. It seems that it would easily come apart while exercising if you're not careful.

15.) OK, but not great.

Velcro doesn't seem to hold as well as would have been expected. Also, isn't as comfortable as I would have liked.

16.) Not Good for Men
Reviewed by: Dagan Henderson Walnut Grove, CA

I say that this product is not good for men because the band is too short. I'm not a big guy (14.5" biceps), but even at the band's longest setting it squeeze my arm uncomfortably. They make an extension band, but I'd never have thought my arms are big enough to need it. My guess is that the length is good for women and small-framed men.

Plus, there's no way to attach a Nike+ receiver. That's my fault for not checking, though.

All in all, if my arms were smaller and I didn't use the Nike+ system I'd be really happy with this product.

17.) Decent Quality, comfortable, somewhat pricey

I bought this armband because it was inexpensive and similar to the last armband I had. I plan to buy a new iPod soon so I did not want to spend too much on an armband for my current iPod. Also, I did not want to purchase the same one I had before since it eventually broke from wear and tear, and was more expensive.

I only use my iPod at the gym and, when I start to sweat, the clear screen steams up and makes it tough to tap the buttons on my iPod to switch songs, increase/decrease volume, and/or switch playlists. I also noticed my iPod would take a long while to turn on the next time I went to use it; I consistently had to hold down the middle and menu buttons and wait many minutes for the iPod to turn on (about 5-10 minutes). One time, my iPod never turned on and then, when it finally did, all of my songs had been deleted from my iPod. I had to restore the iPod back to factory settings (I think that's the correct wording?) by plugging it in to my computer and re-downloading from iTunes. Since then, it still takes a while for my iPod to turn on, but not as long, and some times the iPod skips songs or seems to pause before resuming play of a song.

I believe the condensation build-up is playing a role towards my iPod's slow reaction time to turn on/play songs and would not recommend this arm band to current iPod nano video 3rd generation users. If you don't have to wear your iPod on your arm when exercising and can tolerate holding it in your hand or clipping it to exercise shorts, I highly recommend doing that since the belt clip models have not caused me any problems.

20.) Good Concept, Bad Fit
Reviewed by: Zebo51

I went with this because it had full face protection and the handy little side velcro for wire management. The ipod fits loosely in it, but it will not fall out. Here is the issue: the plastic see through cover is not snug on the face of the ipod so the control wheel is hard to use. This mainly happens when I am either running or biking, the band builds up heat from my body temperature, then the plastic gets sticky. It will then stick to the ipod. So what happens is say I am scrolling through album art and stop on what I want, when I lift my finger and the plastic pulls up from the ipod since it is not a snug fit, it will scroll to another selection. Very frustrating. This happens on any sort of navigating. Say you just want to increase or decrease the volume. Well be warned after you scroll to your desired volume and lift your finger you may get a blast in the ear as it turns up or down if you are lucky. Even strapping it tighter doesn't help. I pushed on the back of it and there is still a gap between the plastic and the ipod. Stuffing something behind the ipod doesn't even help. I guess I could cut a circle so the wheel is exposed, but then that defeats the protection from the elements. I think I will try the sportsuit runabout by marware and just stitch in a little piece of velcro for wire management. My G-friend has one and doesn't have this issue when it heats up.
